Sunday - July 29, 2012
Today was another great day.  We started off with a great breakfast and then went to the marina store and bought lots of beer and headed out on the boat.  Becky invited a friend of hers to go out today and she bought a couple of her friends.  They were a lot of fun. The Alcova Reservoir is one of the most beautiful lakes I have been on.  We have a lot of great photos which I will be going through and posting some tomorrow hopefully.  I did some fishing today but didn't catch anything, however, Chuck caught one and let me bring it in.  :0)  We're staying here in Casper, WY until Tuesday morning and then will be heading into Sturgis, SD.
Saturday - July 29, 2012

We are now south of Casper, WY at Alcova Lake in a marina.  This place is beautiful!  We took a pontoon ride this evening and met some great people.

Herd of elk that had just crossed the road

At the top of the mountains (higher than the
Divide) it was in the upper 40's
Up to 20 foot sticks to mark the roadway
for clearing the road during snowstorms

The massive elk that crossed the busy
roadway right in front of Bob

Friday - July 27, 2012

We left Grand Lake this morning around 11 a.m.  We were headed for WY via the Rocky Mountain National Park.  We had no idea what we were in for...this place was just beautiful.  It took us about 3 hours to get through the park.  While driving through we saw a herd of elk in a field and later on some mountain sheep along then out of nowhere another elk was at a major intersection while we were going through town.  He was so huge I downloaded pictures of him crossing the intersection just so you know it wasn't fake!  We also drove through the Roosevelt National Park which was also very beautiful...WOW there are no words to describe what we saw today.
We are now in Cheyenne, WY.

This route is no doubt the most beautiful road we have ever been on !!

We also added the pictures of the forest fire in Colorado Springs this evening.
Bob needs to get off his duff and write up the stories.

Wednesday - July 25, 2012

Bob and I were going to leave today and start heading towards Casper, WY
but we've decided to stay until Friday.  We're really enjoying the
camp site.  This is how the sky looked when we got up this morning;
however, the sun is starting to burn away some of the clouds now.

We went into town again for lunch.  Bob had the best pulled pork, so good,
we're going back again tomorrow so I can get some!  As you can see we were having
fun with our new purchases...the duckies....

Our breakfast buddie :0)

 Granby

Our afternoon storm....it was a biggie that
lasted all night!

Bob hiding out in the women's room
from the storm ;0)

Tuesday - July 24, 2012
We had coffee with "chippie" this morning.  We convinced him
to stick around by sharing cereal with him.

We had lunch in Granby today and did a little more shopping.  Bob loves to shop ;0)
I bought wine 3 days ago and wasn't able to drink it because I didn't have a glass.  A
friend of mine taught me that you can't drink wine out of anything but glass...
I finally  bought a wine glass today!

Check out the rainbow just before the storm
The rainbow on the other side prior to the storm
You'll notice a lot of gray in the mountains
The trees are dying from beetles eating them
Luckily lumberjacks are going out and clearing
as much as they can and from what I understand
they are making good money
The wind is blowing so hard Bob has to hold
the tent out so he can take a sip of his rumba!

Check out the white caps on our lake!!

Monday - July 23, 2012

Today has been a very lazy day for us. We've had coffee, cereal, a jump in the lake and now getting ready for a nap. Bob did run over to get some ice before the afternoon storm shows up.  I did get to update some of the blog but still have a ways to go.  Great veg day!
