The Yamaha place where I got my tires changed
Tuesday - August 14, 2012
We couldn't of found a better place to get our maintenance done! We called the day before and they said they had the size tire we needed and would be able to put it on if we were in town by 4 p.m. We didn't make it in town by 4 p.m. but they said they would get to it first thing in the morning. Now we needed to find a place to stay and figure out how we were going to get me on the bike with everything else on there. David (the manager) said he would drive either me or the luggage on the back of Bob's bike to a hotel near him if we wanted to wait until 6 p.m. and if we didn't mind riding in an older white car. That is me next to the car. We of course had no problem with that and within a half hour we were at the Comfort Inn Suites. We check into the motel and the girl said since it was a Monday and it wasn't busy she was giving us a discount on the room; so instead of paying $130.00 we paid $79.00 for a suite and boy was it sweet! The hospitality was just wonderful there! The following morning I went to get my bike and it was suggested I get a new front tire. I asked if it could be done now and they said yes. While waiting for the tire David told me he was giving me a discount on both tires. He said they ran a special last month and he was giving us that special...he said they hadn't sent out anything for this month as of yet so why not continue the sale! He ended up saving us about $100.00 on the tires! Luckily, we asked for a oil change. My bike had less than a 1/2 quart of oil in it and it was thick and black. We didn't realize we had to stand the bike up to get an accurate reading, we just thought we had to look at the oil gauge! Bob and I will be writing a
"Letter of Appreciation" to the dealership and thanking them for the wonderful service we received thanks to David!
We left around noon hours and drove until 6 p.m. We are about 50 miles from the
West Va. border. We would have gone a little further but a big storm was following
us so we decided to pull over. Hopefully we will be home TOMORROW!!
